Collaboration · coolHouse & Fisher & Paykel

A component for series production.
A decision for years.

Adopting an appliance into a model series is not a decision about a purchase but about a commitment — tooling costs, warranty, spare-parts supply across the entire vehicle life cycle. This page explains why coolHouse and Fisher & Paykel carry that commitment.

The manufacturer in detail

An appliance is only as reliable as the company behind it.

When evaluating a series component, what counts is whether the manufacturer carries it across the vehicle life cycle.

Our perspective

A supplier knows its component.
A partner knows your vehicle.

Integrating a component into an existing build space is an engineering task. The more interesting question comes before that: what does this component change about your vehicle? About the floor plan. About your model range. And about the impression your customer takes away later in the showroom or on their first trip. That is exactly where the real collaboration begins for us.

What changes in the design?

A standard appliance brings its own rules: installation height, door opening and installation situation dictate the floor plan. Take that away and design freedom appears. Decisions are once again made from the vehicle outwards – not from the data sheet of a domestic appliance.

What changes for the model range?

410 millimetres instead of around 820 create possibilities that would not be feasible with a standard appliance. This gives rise to equipment variants that were previously reserved for higher model ranges – without rethinking the vehicle concept.

What changes for your customer?

The buyer does not notice an installation height. They experience a kitchen that feels complete. A clear walkway. And the comfort of not having to do without the obvious things while travelling. In the end it is rarely the technical solution that stays in the memory – but the feeling that the vehicle has been thought through down to the last detail.

That is why we discuss the same solution with engineering, product management and design – but from different perspectives.

Every vehicle has different requirements. That is why every project starts with a conversation.

Whether a new model range or an existing model – we help you integrate the DishDrawer™ sensibly into your vehicle concept.

THE COLLABORATION

Well supported – from engineering through to service.

A series decision does not end with choosing the right appliance. What matters is how a project is supported from the first integration until many years after delivery.

01

Sample appliance before series approval

We provide you with a sample appliance on special terms as early as the development phase. This allows the installation situation, connections and tolerances to be checked directly in the prototype – before the appliance goes into series production.

02

One dedicated contact

You speak to the same contact person throughout the entire project. From the first conversation to ongoing series production. No ticket system, no changing contacts – instead years of experience in the domestic appliance, motorhome and yacht sectors.

03

Supply concepts that fit your production

Whether a single order or ongoing series production: we align delivery volumes and call-offs with your production schedule. That way you receive exactly the quantities you need at any given time.

04

Spare parts across the entire service life

Motorhomes and yachts are used for many years. That is why we secure the spare parts supply long term – directly through coolHouse and our own spare parts shop.

05

Service in the DACH region

With more than 80 authorised service partners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, your customers find competent support even after delivery – quickly and close to home.

06

Reliable – regardless of volume

From an exclusive small batch to industrial manufacturing, we deliver reliably in the volumes you need. High warehouse capacity and coordinated production planning keep your manufacturing predictable.

Contractual basis

What secures the partnership legally.

The framework conditions that technical decision-makers and purchasing regularly ask about.

Trust is the basis for innovation. In the B2B and OEM sector coolHouse guarantees absolute discretion. Before any exchange of CAD data, installation tolerances or prototype details we will, on request, conclude a legally binding non-disclosure agreement (NDA). This keeps your exclusive vehicle or yacht designs and new developments 100 % protected throughout the entire development phase.

coolHouse is liable for material defects ex works within the scope of the statutory and contractual provisions. Because installation in special vehicles or yachts is subject to specific loads, we support your engineers in advance with approval processes in order to rule out warranty risks caused by installation errors from the outset.

The appliances are supplied in their original condition without specific manufacturer requirements and can be integrated by you with complete flexibility. In practice, installation is usually seamless behind the dedicated front of your on-board or vehicle galley. The original brand marking stays discreetly in the background, so the appliance blends perfectly into your kitchen design.

There are no specific special certifications for the marine or vehicle sector for the DishDrawer™. The appliance is supplied with the standard European certificates for domestic appliances (such as CE conformity). This standard conformity is entirely sufficient for regular installation in the pantry or motorhome galley.

Planning certainty is essential for your series production. Should technical modifications or a model change be planned by Fisher & Paykel, coolHouse will inform you with a lead time of at least 6 to 12 months. In that case we will secure suitable successor options or last-time-buy quotas for you.
