On board, the galley decides how long you want to stay.
On a 12-metre yacht, the galley is the space where the promise of comfort and reality part ways fastest. Anyone anchored in a bay for a week does not want to wash up in salt water.
An appliance that respects installation space, weight and consumption yet still washes at full capacity is no longer an add-on but a feature that makes the difference.

Maximum function in minimum space.
With an installation height of just 410 mm and a width of 599 mm the DishDrawer™ fits into a standard kitchen block and needs only half the niche height of a conventional dishwasher.
Clearance
Clear walkways, even during the wash cycle.
Instead of a door that swings open, the DishDrawer™ opens like a drawer. This keeps the passage between the galley and the saloon clear at all times.
Weight
Less weight on board.
With an appliance weight of just 31 kg the DishDrawer™ offers the function of a full dishwasher without adding unnecessary weight to the weight and trim calculation.

At just 43 dB(A) the DishDrawer™ runs so quietly that the wash cycle is barely noticed. Whether over dinner in the saloon, a glass of wine on deck or when someone is already asleep in the neighbouring cabin – comfort on board remains undisturbed.

Efficient with water and energy.
Six place settings per cycle allow economical operation without using fresh water and energy for a machine that is only partly filled – ideal for longer passages without a marina.

The DishDrawer™ is fully integrated behind your furniture front – whether you work with teak, bamboo or walnut. The appliance is operated via the knock-to-pause function, without visible controls.
On-board power & connection
Shore power, generator or inverter.
The DishDrawer™ is a 230-volt appliance. On board it runs on shore power, a generator or an inverter from the on-board system — all three are implemented at our series partners in boat building.
When sizing the inverter, the inrush current of the heating phase is decisive. We handle this coordination on a per-project basis with your electrical engineering team.

In the double unit, both drawers run independently. In charter operation this covers the changeover between two crews. Knock-to-Pause is available on all three variants.

Does the DishDrawer™ fit a standard kitchen block on board?
Yes, the compact dish drawer is ideal for the galley. At 60 cm wide and only approx. 41 cm high it fits perfectly into standardised marine kitchen grids. The shallow installation depth leaves room behind it for hull sides or pipework, while the drawer principle makes access far easier in tight spaces.
How does the appliance behave under heel and in rough seas?
Thanks to the closed tub design („drawer“) no water spills over even at moderate heel. The electronics lock the drawer automatically during operation. For heavy seas and sailing, the front must additionally be secured against sliding open unintentionally with a mechanical lock (e.g. a flush marine push-lock).
Is the appliance approved for use in salt-air conditions?
The DishDrawer™ is designed as a premium domestic appliance and does not hold an explicit IPX marine certification. However, the high-quality stainless steel interior and the protected electronics have proven themselves over many years in the interior (galley) of yachts. For installation in a salty environment we recommend good ventilation of the installation recess against condensation in order to prevent corrosion in the long term.
Is the on-board power enough, or is shore power needed?
With a pure sine wave inverter (from 1,500 W) and a solid lithium or AGM battery bank the appliance runs off-grid from the 12 V / 24 V on-board system. One wash cycle needs only around 0.5 kWh and just under 7 litres of water. Shore power or the generator are not strictly necessary for operation, provided the charging equipment on board is up to it.
What does service look like for the end customer?
